The short answer
In the US, start with the National Croquet Center ProShop in Florida for wickets and mallets, and Oakley Woods in Ontario for balls, hoops and full sets, in US dollars. Only three ball models are currently approved for championship play: the Dawson 2000 International Mk3, the Sunshiny CQ16 and the Invictus X.

Where should a US buyer start?
These shops sell in the US or price in US dollars, so there’s less to work out at checkout.

Where can I buy tournament croquet balls?
Tournament balls are tested and approved model by model, and only three are on the current list. Croquet England keeps the official list of approved balls, and the World Croquet Federation treats that list as definitive. Each ball is 3 5/8 inches and 16 ounces, and sets come in four colors.
| Ball | Where to buy | Set of 4, Nov. 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Sunshiny CQ16 | Oakley Woods (easiest for US buyers), Croquet England, Wood Mallets, JC Mazos | US$425 at Oakley Woods |
| Dawson 2000 International Mk3 | Dawson store, Australia. A Croquet Queensland article says it ships to US clubs, in 4 to 5 weeks. | A$550 |
| Invictus X | Invictus Croquet, Australia, made to order in 4 to 8 weeks with a delivered price quoted first; Croquet England | A$990 |
Only the Sunshiny CQ16 is approved, not the cheaper Sunshiny Pro16. Older names you may see, the Barlow GT and Willhoite Xtreme, are no longer made.
Where can I buy tournament hoops and wickets?
Hoops and wickets are the same thing: golf croquet says hoop, and American six-wicket says wicket. Croquet England also keeps the official list of approved hoops. These are on it:
| Hoop | Material | Where to buy | Nov. 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| CqE Championship | Steel | Croquet England | Up to £295 |
| Ultra Championship | Stainless steel | Croquet England | Up to £550 |
| GW Championship | Steel | Wood Mallets | NZ$490, set of 6 |
| Quadway | Adjustable stainless | National Croquet Center ProShop (the hoop set showed sold out), Quadway, JC Mazos | €1,370 at JC Mazos |
| Jaques Championship | Cast iron | Jaques London, UK delivery only | £495.99, set of 6 |
Two more on the list, the Holdfast and the Borrajo three-finned stainless hoop, had no seller page we could confirm. Aldridge, Hopewell and Omega hoops are no longer made, though you’ll still see them on older lawns and in older guides.
Tournament-style wickets sold in the US
These aren’t on the approved list and their sellers don’t claim to be, but they’re the easiest for a US buyer to get. Oakley Woods’ hoop specification page says hoops must meet the specification for sanctioned play but needn’t be approved models. If you’re buying for a sanctioned event, check with the organizer first.
| Wicket | Seller | Nov. 2026 |

| Tournament Hoop, 5/8 inch | Oakley Woods | US$410 |
| Championship Hoop, stainless | Oakley Woods | US$699, made to order |
Who makes tournament croquet mallets?
The rules set no length or weight, so a mallet is a personal choice, and many makers build to order. Try a few before you buy.
